Resolution Centre – Case Reversal Details

This payment has been selected for review and we have opened an investigation.

We suspect that this transaction may not have been authorised by the PayPal account holder.

We have placed a temporary hold on the funds until the investigation is complete.

Please provide some additional information about this transaction.

    Response deadline: 23 Feb. 2008

A guy gave me some money for a domain, now he has opened this dispute.

Well, I want to know how I can get my rightful money back without any problems.

    Also, theres a button
    Resolve Case

What will this do to the case, will it give back his money for the domain i gave him or will i get the money i rightfully deserve.

Provide all the proof beyond a shadow of a doubt that the other party received the domain nanme and have registered it in his name. If you can show the Before Whois and after Whois. Send them all the email correspondence or PMs.

Yep, if You have any emails from that boy and any kind of messages (You were communicating with hime), attach them too.
Also, ask Your ex domain provider to send You complete whois information about that domain, that includes time while domain was under Your property.

I got plenty of PM's included his whois information but how would I get my previous whois information as proof.

Because I know my whois information but it would need to be proven.

Hi - I had this exact same thing happen to me last week. I sold something for $10 and recieved this message shortly after. Today I got a message from paypal that it was resolved and the money was in my account. I don't think this is from someone opening up a dispute. If someone opens a dispute you can go into your account and see a message from the person. With this message from paypal you have to go in and answer some generic questions, but there is no dispute directly from the person who purchased the product. Maybe this is something new paypal is doing? Anyway, just go into the resolution center, answer their questions and you should have your money in a couple days.

I don't think they need one. People just make things harder then what they are. I mean, no offence, but instead of posting "what happens if I click this", you, could just click the button and get a lot farther.

I was rather afraid of the case being closed and not being able to get my money back.

Since you know the payment is from a hacked paypal account, it would be best to immediately refund the money. If not, contact Paypal to reverse the transaction and tell them you suspect the account which sends you the money is being compromised.
