The problem is I signed up to a service for 1500 manual webdirectories from a reputable di member thats not the problem. I did a bit of further research and google might see this as unnatural to have so many new links in such a short time. I did change the title as often as possible with the describtion but the problem is I only 4 main product categories so there is only so many combinations. Is it a mistake to pay for manual submission even if its an excellent member. Because in theory I could penalise my competior by signing up to say 1500 links and google would penalised them. Sorry for the question but I'm not sure what makes sense: too many links or only a few a month. Surely it would be better if google just ignores the links rather then penalise my site for having to many webdirectories. Many thanks for your time
The directories will take 1-500 days to approve your site. It will take google 1-50 days to find these links. Because of this you won't trigger any spam filters. I don't see a problem with gaining many related backlinks in a short time. If Bill Gates started a forum he might pick up thousands of backlinks quickly, as long as they looked natural enough it wouldn't matter.
Keep in mind that many of the directories won’t even provide a back link due to the submission page not being cached.
I think it depends on how fast he/she submit your link. And it's other things you need to know. Submit a link doesn't mean you have your link directly in the submit directory. Directory owners submit your link different so I don't think you need to be worried. If the submitter submit your link fast like auto submitter your site will be penalized.
Hi, thanks for your reply. What do you mean with natural. I mean they all under shopping category. The directory submitter does it by hand so I guess it should be okay and would you say this applies to bookmarking because google would not take soo long too pick it up. Sorry for this its just there is soo much info out there and after a couple of hours I dont know what to believe. thanks
Hi, thanks for your messages. It makes sense it will take a while but 1500+ links do you think that is too much and what happens if i submit a article to 50 sites would google thinks its spamming. thanks for your time
Some of the directories will even die before they reach the end of the approvals but generally yeah its not a concern.
absolutely mate, not a problem at all, only time you need to start worrying is when you get 100,000 backlinks from massive sites and your website is brand new.... at least thats the only time IVE had a problem....
THANKS ALL LOT FOR ALL YOUR HELP! THIS HAS PUT MY MIND AT REST! GOOGLE HERE I COME...WELL THERE IS HOPE
