I'm wondering how many of you that are foreigners have a U.S. business account to receive your payments.

Opening a non-resident bank account in the US is not an issue as long as you are physically present in the US to do so. We are a Canadian firm that has a Delaware LLC and a EIN.

Anyone who tries to get you to pay for a US non-resident bank account is most likely trying to scam you. The only way it has been done is to use a banking nominee in the US who has complete control of your account -- not a good idea.

It's not exactly true what you're saying. See my comments in red.

Emotions, not flaming you :) but just want you to think about this... do you really think it's too expensive when you take into consideration the work the person does to get the account opened, courier fees, mail box fees etc ? If you had to go the U.S to open your account you're looking at a plane ticket, visa, hotel, food, lost work time etc. If you really need a business account it seems a small price to pay. :p
