I was wondering is there anyway to put adsense on a phplinkbid directory!! has anybody done this before?? :) does it work for you (money wise)?
and is it adsense friendly (will you get banned or not for it?)

If your directory is general in subject it will be pretty useless. Its not worth the time, especially a low traffic bidding directory.

It can be added in footer.tpl or header.tpl whereever you want it to be shown.

Could be worth contacting adsense directly if in doubt, if they give the all clear then you can relax completely.

Adsense doesn't make you any big bucks even if you have a free high traffic directory. :)

No you wont get banned for it, yes it is possible to do and no it is not worth it, you will probably earn around $1.50 per month.

If you want to monetize your bid directory by adsense then make a niche bidding directory. Do proper niche study and make a good niche directory with lots of content.

Adsense is not good for general web directories as well as for general bidding directories IMO. I have tested it and not satisfied :(

Income for a good directory is impossible to say. So many factors are needed to be taken into consideration, like investment in your directory, its statistics, is promotion methods, prices etc etc.

If you have a free directory I would say it's a good option to add adsense or any other good ad network. If you have a paid directory do not go for both, what are you promoting? Adsense or links? And how serious is it to have both?

I don't agree with that. If you have free directory niche you could make good amount of money.

My opinion is that the ones who are using directories are webmasters, adsense blind.......they just want the link from the directory not intersted in ads.And 80% from the submission are done with automatic software.

I admire your outlook, it keeps it accessible to most people, having prices high, while appealing to a certain category of customer and obviously bringing in money only closes the door for anyone short of cash.
