They don't allow that on the squid. they cut you in on a percentage. Hubpages, allows you to place your aff id's inside modules.

Just add the normal Amazon text links to any text content on any module on Squidoo will do the trick.

    Here something interesting to note...

There are different % tiers depending from which category that you're selling. Most products are around the 4% commission percentage.

If you were to make a sale with your own account you'd get 4%. But Squidoo are a premium Amazon Associate. They get higher percentages. So that 4% we get is actually 8.25% for Squidoo.

So even if it were 8% if you split that in half, you'd still be getting the same $ as if you used your own account.

On Hubpages you get 100% of the commission, but you get 60% of the pageviews. So if it comes up on your share of the pageviews you get the sale, but if it falls on the other 40% then you get nothing.

On the other hand, if you can sell just 7 items in one month using your own associate id, then you can raise your commission to 6%, which is better than half of 8.5% from Squidoo. The more you sell, the more you make! Also, certain items (big consumer electricals) will only get 4%, even with Squidoo's massive premium rate. With your own account you can get all that to yourself.

A great way to add Amazon Product links to your lens is with the Amazon Link Generator, which is designed specifically for Squidoo. The links emulate the proper ones you get from Amazon (but can't use on a lens), with the picture, price and Buy Now buttons for each product. You can also get Amazon RSS Feeds too.

That's the way to go, easy and effective. I wouldn't want to rely on squidoo only for payouts, since you'll make alot more with direct links if you are getting good rankings and sell many products.

    In passing...

Squidoo will be launching their new lens layout, hopefully by Monday, which is targeted to more receptive to lensmaster's earnings...
