might try reading about people like Gideon and David - David was a man of war but also a man after Gods on heart. God picked Gideon to go to war. So, why would God not want war. I believe the bible says he is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hey but that is my spin on it.
God chose many appointed men to go to war (in the Old Testament). The reason for these wars was because of what men were doing to the Isrealites. People would not leave them alone. They were jealous. So, they started all these things against God's people. Since Jesus there is no need for war. Jesus spoke about this Kingdom often and told his disciples to go preach about the Kingdom. It was this Kingdom that God was setting up that was going to "crush and put and end to all these kingdoms" (Dan 2:44). These things point to a time where God (through Jesus) will finally remove the wicked ones from the earth via HIS war. That's why God says "Vengeance is mine. I will repay".
I didn't read anything but the first post. That said I think that Yeheshua (Jesus if you like that) would have had to have been a very enlightened person (and godform if you like that sort). As such I would think he would see war for what it is. Petty. Who owns what land and who is oppressed by whom is pretty much what war is all about. Surely diplomacy and compromise can solve the worlds problems? Surely we can all love one another as we love ourselves and help our neighbors as if they were our family someday? Well, in the meantime, I personally say nuke em all and let God sort em out. War is necessary as long as we as humans believe it to be so. And so far, we definitely seem to believe so.
Well I've never really heard either of these two say anything offensive. Guess you just don't like differentiating opinions so you respond by putting your fingers in your ears and saying "I can't hear you".
You need to do some more reading of their posts. They and a few others do nothing but make slanderous statements about an organization and the people that are in it without any foundation for saying so. It has nothing to do with "I can't hear you" at all. I read and took in everything they said. However, it takes "two" people to have a discussion does it not? What you are accusing me of I can rightly accuse them of the same. I refuse to do that and have had enough of their ignorant and mostly "arrogant" behaviour. These discussions have gone on for over a year with stOx. So, don't accuse me of not listening and not giving him opportunity to be at least respectful to others.
Sometimes the best way to deal with something is to avoid it altogether. That's what CSS is doing i suppose. Besides what's cute as a baby to me and you, may be really offensive to someone else. people are different like that ........
You see the problem is our selfishness and ignorance. When we have a rich and elite controlling the world through war and suffering and covert actions they can do just about anything as long as they have a gullible , patriot mass of people who will keep working for and feeding the elite. In order to see what they are going through we need to ask them , to try to sympathise with them and to try to gain empathy and understanding for them. Wars have been started by the elite for ages and yet now people like the neocons all of a sudden want us to believe that this has changed. It really hasnt. Its just like How Rome used to pay off or intimidate some of its neighbors just to keep their empire strong and in control. the elite control their peoples opinion through their powerful media machine, but i truely believe these people will be judged by god one day, and that will be one sad day..... for them.
