both can convert and produce revenue. but they are very different ie bans is predominately set up for ebay stores and has very good search and indexing, it is also set up to build a complete website for you. as many as you like with the one $97 payment. popshops does not include ebay. but covers many other cj merchants and indeed many other affiliate networks. nor does it build you a website it generates code for you to insert into your website. it now includes a WP plugin whereas bans does not. popshops does not allow the user the same sort of search functions as bans. popshops is free for up to ten "stores" so its hard to compare directly because they offer different features and are set up for you already have a website or you don't, so they are quite different.
I make more money with PopShop by far...but the take more time. BANS site can start earning money quickly. I combine them together. I used Popshops for content on my BANS sites, and I just have huge sites of Popshops. My eBook explains all of it. But keep in mind. To build the sort of income I make takes a fair about of time. It's easy to do and it does not cost much to do. Good Luck
I see what depotang does with adding content with popshops, but what is the difference b/w that and putting an Amazon astore on a BANS page? Once built, an astore is self sufficient and is drawing from Amazon's huge inventory. to me it seems the popshop is an item-by-item building, an astore lets you build enmasse.
I would think add an Amazon shop could be as effective as a PopShop. But i just never made much money with Amazon. Bill
I just found a great video about PopShops, kind of makes me feel that it may not be too difficult for me to use: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KvrlYaeCWZA
Im definitely sold against PopShops now, bad enough with everything else you have to worry about someone in a third world country dipping into your koolaid, now u got toddlers. Internet biz is dead... great video find =D
What if you don't want ebay affiliation to your store nor any other affiliates whatsoever but simply want to build your own independent website to sell your own products, can you use BANS to do that? or popshop? or combo of both to get juice from both website builders? What do you suggest for a newbie?
If you are just interested in selling your own products on your own website you probably don't need BANS or Popshops. Just kick a couple bucks to a web designer to get a unique store site up and running for you.
I've been using the other alternative to both but drawing on niche content for WP blogs. There has been a huge amount of chatter with people scared of being de-indexed with the BANS look.
Popshop caters for CJ affiliate products, while BANS promote eBay affiliate programs only. That's no better or worse program, the success of your sites boil down to your marketing skills. Personally I prefer BANS as eBay has mass appeal. Most people know eBay, trust eBay and have no problems making transaction with eBay. I'd also advice that you make your site as unique as possible. Note that these softwares can leave footprints, remove the footprints as much as possible so that you stand better advantages of SEO. cheers, CY
That's a solid point. So how do you then can remove footprints? I believe all these softwares won't allow as per their terms & conditions.
