Well, how to get a video rank high on youtube? By default the seach results are sorted by relevance but that seems rather inaccurate, especially when the search term was very general. 'official' videos are ranking very high mostly - they are having lots of views and a good rating but there are often some less popular ones with only 3-4 starts on the first page. One thing that seems to work for long tails is just stuffing keywords in the "about this video" category... So, is there any 'formula', anything else to pay attention to when submitting a video, any tips?
hi there, if you want to rank high on google. you need to get traffic a good traffic which i can give you. pm me for more info.
His not talking about Google, his talking about the actual Youtube searches, this is a good question, I don't think anyone has actually spoke about the optimization. I take on campaigns to reach most played etc. but obviously they are effected by the amount of plays.
I'd like to know this as well. Marketing videos with Youtube can be a very good business idea, but it'll be hard if we don't know how to rank in their search results. This is something I'd like to master as well, so good question.
i think you should submit many articles about post in forums about your video URL or try THSADMIN service just pay and get target view. If don't know how and don't have time you pay to increase view or post in many forums, blogs, send email to your members if you have member type sites.
I tried marketing on youtube. Waste of time for me. Kinda fun though. Im #1 for Google Traffic Secrets. Maybe I should have been more aggressive. Hey #1 for Google Traffic too YEAAAH! Too bad nobody is searching those terms on youtube.
I dunno what will alter the videos rank within searches, but having a lot of videos and then adding more helps a lot, also if you do promote the new videos and get a lot of views - it does feed your other videos.
Tag efficiently. Be sure to add tags of popular stuff like "digitalpoint" or a network like "youtube" or stuff. Also, add your channel name as a tag, it allows others to find more videos under Related Videos. What you can also do is assemble a team to download the FF add-on ReloadEvery and set it to refresh on your video every 2 seconds or so. Each IP can give 250 views to a video before the views stop counting. Try to advertise your video in a high traffic area, like the Freebies section, so people start contributing views without knowing. The higher the views, the more chance it will get higher, and the more peer pressure it puts on people randomly searching. One last thing: Aim for the top lists. Ask everyone to spam your video with video responses, comments, and 5* ratings.
Um actually that would not work with Youtube .... Views are only counted if and when the whole video is played and not just a part. Unless of course your video was only 2 seconds long.
You have to be careful choosing relevant tags. Put a lot of general tags in, but also some specific ones as well. Tell your friends to click your video.
Most of my YouTube videos are within the top 5 of their keywords however, no idea how they got there lol. Over 2000 hits however, there are videos with a higher number of views.
