Depends on whether you can find the end-user or not. You'd be very lucky if it ever reaches xx,xxx .... x,xxx seems likely to the right end-user (motivated buyer) Low to mid xxx for resellers. "nu" also means "now", and the .nu extension is quite popular in European countries, so chat.nu = "chat now". Very nice!
Your welcome How long have you owned this name, if I may know? Because it shows "created in 1997" in whois... Did you handreg or bought it from someone?
this is the domain that a friend of mine owned it. he registered it on the 1997. we plan to put in auction as we want a initial capital to boost our new internet projects. we have some few dictionary domain and he even went to court for the temasek.nu which supposed to carry the singapore identity.
i tried to visit that site and got this Database error: Invalid SQL: DELETE FROM c_messages WHERE m_time < 1203095518 MySQL error: 1142 (DELETE command denied to user 'chatnu'@'cgi0701.int.bizland.net' for table 'c_messages') Session halted. btw this can go for a high $xxxx just think abt meebo.com ,ebuddy.com sites which are giving various IM services
can it makes a big different by creating a chat service and sell it? or just a plain domain? Database error: Invalid SQL: DELETE FROM c_messages WHERE m_time < 1203095518 MySQL error: 1142 (DELETE command denied to user 'chatnu'@'cgi0701.int.bizland.net' for table 'c_messages') Session halted. this thing because last time was a chat service but we plan to shut it down as we lack of money to promote it
Really? Who sued him? The Singapore government? He must have put some controversial content there... Well, if you plan to auction, better do it on Sedo, that's where the end-users are. Good luck with the name EDIT: development -> chat service -> users -> traffics -> more money
I don't know, no experience with that... But I know the perfect end-user for chat.nu : http://www.chatnu.nl
wow..thanx for the valuable info meetgs try to approach him..by the way you also got the anime.cs (christmas island rite?)
thanx guy..at first I think it can reach to $xxx, xxx but seems you guys are more experienced persons.. do you think order an appraisal is the good thing to do? which are the best place to order an appraisal?
I have heard that Moniker appraisal is quite good. But if you plan to send the name to auction, what's the use of an appraisal? Let the market decide its price, that's the 100% correct "appraisal"
ooo..you mean that if I want to submit it to auction, there is no need to do appraisal. that will be more easy for me. so I read there is a reserved price that we can set. if let say i set it up for : $5,000 and the highest bid i received $20,000, can i declined the offer as not in my expectation? or i have to let it go with that price? one more thing, i heard that dnf forum is a good place to sell it too?
If reserve is $5000 and highest bid is $20000, you are obliged to sell. But, if the domain is really worth x,xxx, then setting the reserve price at $1 is OK... People will bid and bid until it reaches the "market price"... And since the reserve is so low, many people will be interested, thus raising interests in the name.. People want what other people want Yes DNForum is a good place to sell too.
