Hi, When I search for my name....I found my seo company site is at #1 http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLG,GGLG:2006-08,GGLG:en&q=dakait I have not used my name anywhere in site...still it got #1 This shows the site can rank #1 on a keyword which is not present anywhere in site..but have so many backlinks with that keyword. Does...it means... The site (or say a url) which have not even indexed can get #1 in google for a keyword if that site/url have so many back links with that keyword???
Its called google bombing - point enough anchor text rich links at a site and it can rank number 1 for whatever word is in the anchor text. As for a site ranking number 1 if its not indexed that is impossible. The site has to be in googles index before it shows up in the search results.
Yes classic example of this. Do a search in google using the I'm Felling lucky function for miserable failure. And you get george Bush's government site You can bet he doesnt have that keyword anywhere on his site. Brad

yeah it is a google bombing, as long as there's a lot of sites linking to you with any of your keyword on the anchor text then you'll rank high on it...
