How to Promote 10 websites through your DP Account

I was doing a lot of experimentation in my signature and user account. This is what I've come up so far. I realized that I could promote TEN (10) websites in DP and even more. Thanks to the lovely souls at DP Management.

1. First, your avatar picture: I haven't placed a picture. I can use that to announce a website name.
2. Your Latest Blog: Look at how I ask a question.
3. Your Location: Because that is where you live (Virtually)
4. - 10 websites - Read my signature:

4) url.com wants 5) you(live link). 6)url.com says 7) yes(live link), 8) she.com 9)likes(live link) the 10) idea(live link)

It's up to you how you can maximize the 350 characters allowed in DP. You see I only have four clickable links. You can only place up to 4 live links, according to DP Policy.

good ideas for maximizing your visibility for the noobs. DP really is a great place to test out your sites and drive a little traffic to them.

Yes, it is legal. Some are even selling their avatars and signatures in DP. I am not selling anything.

The Digital Point signature policy states that only 4 clickable links are allowed. You have 350 characters at your disposal.

In fact if you can create a good poem or even a good conversation in your DP signature, you can promote up to 14 websites.

My background in journalism and poetry inspires me to come up with this idea.

 

i did this as soon as i signed up.. without reading the forums first.. i found this forum on the top forums list.. and i was just looking for relative places to advertise.. yet this has become the best forum, fastest repling and best community forum i've used!.. i put all the links into my profile instantly not knowing weather it was legal or not! i think its a huge asset to DP! i hope it never changes!

Establish good relationships with other DP members. They may hire you to do something.

 

Nice post for newbies. You did forget one though. Your homepage link in your profile. It also shows up as a backlink in all your post.

Great as long as your target Audience is the DP folks... directory marketing seem to work best that way.

 

You won't get many hits from your location or avator, probably not too many from most of the sig links either, especially the ones that aren't live

 

Good tips LOL. I wonder how effective is specifying a site name in the location field or writing a poem... I never read signatures or location of another DP member. When something catches my eye, that is when I look at it and visit the site.

 

I agree with that post, but well done for putting it so clearly for the noobs all the same

 

You may advertise that way but I don't think you will get clicks unless you mention something descriptive about the site. But, yea! 10 sites

 

But how many people click links in signatures? I don't as most of them are things I am not interested in.
