Im fairly new to social bookmarking, can anyone guide me to some really good articles / sites about how it works, and especially how it can generate traffic / sales to your own website.

social bookmarking is use by SEO to generate traffic. It can really boost your traffic. One good bookmarking site is digg and stumbleupon.

Social bookmarking should form an important part of your internet marketing strategy. Bookmarks generate links, and bookmarks generate traffic.

Social bookmarks = links and Tags = keyphrase

I write articles and post to ezine articles, go article etc. Often I will use the same articles as content for my blog, I use a plugin called Chicklet creator, it installs social book marking icons on my site. I manually submit to digg and delicious and find that I have near instant results with immdeiate traffic to my blog.

when submitting my posts I am tagging keywords relevant to that post, I pick up traffic when some one like minded is searching for my tagged keywords and then this drives them to my blog.

I just got a few sites on Stumble, and trying to get stumbles from here, we will see what the traffic does. Just doing that one for now to see if i can track the traffic inreases.. ill report back.
