I have heard some rumers that the new vista update will allow you it to be compatible with 99% of the stuff. I think it is fake, what do you guys think?
We're not living in 1997 where the entire world revolved around Microsoft. Back then they could throw their weight around and force new OS's on anyone. And back then, when a new OS came out, it was actually better, and relevant to people's interests. Here, in 2007, people have found alternatives. And they embrace these alternatives because of several reasons - they perform better, they're relevant, they're not buggy, and people are not being forced to buy them by a draconian monopoly.
u r right vista is like a biiig Shit of MCsft i'm using linux & Mac (Strong & fast) Xp is ok but vista nooooooooooo i hate
according to me its not the time to critisize vista in this early stage. MS is trying every possible thing to debug it and all that. we need to wait for service packs. a simple example is of XP.. initial launch was the worst. SP1 made some fixes but still not usable. and then SP2 was none less than a revolution. so, according to me, leaving vista aside, ME is worst from them yet. soo buggy, seemed a clear copy of Win98 with lots more bugs and soo many hardware issues..
So true, ME was a nightmare. I still can't believe people are finding software not compatible, I have ran 64bit Ultimate since release and only ever found one thing that didn't work as it should.
Sounds to me like they release their OS before it has been tested properly, imagine other companies doing this -- Boeing for instance MS are using their customers as guinea pigs, and charging them for the privelage. I rolled back to XP SP 2 after struggling with Vista for a week and several reinstalls. P.S. ME was bad, as was 98 - or was it the same piece of Cr%^ with a different badge?
