I recently bought a new host.
and i made a backup of my mysql database of my previous host.

Well i freshly installed vbulletin and wanted to upload my database. ( this is possible right?)
but i couldnt, it's 9mb big. i can't upload it with phpmyadmin, keep getting some kind of 300 sec error.

and btw, my previous database was crook_forums and the new one is dirtywar_forums.
    that doesn't matter right?

How can i make this work? I use Cpanel btw.

    thanks.

you can do this via Cpanel
if X3 goto the Backups option --> Restore --> Mysql Backups --> Browser for file, click submit button
if X2/X1 goto backups, there will be 3 fields in restore section, one for emails, one for mysql, one home directory, browse ur backup on Mysql Backups, submit button.
    Done !

    A rep will do :)

Why not just go into phpmyadmin and restore the thing manually?

ok , you need .gz file in order to restore from cpanel,
in this case, goto cpanel, click on phpmyadmin
wait for it to load, select/click on your database, in which you want the old db to be imported(on right hand panel).
now click import(on the menu bar at centre(main menu bar)).
    browse the database's .txt/.gz file.
do not touch anything else, click GO
    wait for some time..
    done !

Use bigdump script. I have had problems installing my 100 mb database with phpmyadmin, but this using this sricpt I had my database installed in less than 2 minutes . . . If you'd want help installing I'll do it free .
