I am about to buy web traffic for my forum. it targets kids from ages 9-16, so thats the traffic im buying. im buying 4,000 hits. The forum is for a pretty popular teen star who had alot of work on nickolodeon, so alot of kids know him. And alot of girls are in love with him what im asking is would buying traffic directly for a forum like this do any good for me? would I get any responses? The board is pretty large already, so the prestige looks nice.
Depends from whom you buy traffic. If you are just buying "traffic" from someone, that it will be crap. Usually they give you traffic exchange traffic. Best thing to do is buy advertising space on websites that are related to your site. That way, you will drive targeted traffic, plus work on your branding. As Rich User said,do not buy from some newbie,most of them will just send bots or traffic using some scripts.
buying traffic is never been a good decision. it would be better to buy a good banner advertising from high traffic forum or buy a quality forum posting service.
In your case, it might be better to not buy the traffic. Like others are saying you will have better luck with buying some ad space somewhere. Web traffic can be good in a lot of situations but I don't think people have a lot of luck when promoting something like a forum. Especially when it would have to be so targeted. Hope that helps.
