Joomla and Drupal are the leaders. They may be complicated for new comers but once you master these two CMS softwares, it's always worth the effort.
Wordpress was a piece of cake to set up. I was up and running in under a day. Drupal on the other hand, took me several months to feel comfortable with. I like Drupal, but I don't know if I'd do it all over again, it took a long time to master. Wordpress is a bicycle, Drupal is a tank. Wordpress is a great blog (maybe the best), and not really a CMS. Drupal is a CMS. I wish Jelsoft had a CMS. vBulletin is great.
You mention that both drupal and Joomla are too difficult. You might consider a custom CMS - a CMS developed just for you. If you needed a complex CMS, that would be expensive. But if your needs are pretty limited, and very specific, this route is worth considering. Nowadays most web developers create dynamic sites for clients, which means a database and a CMS. So there are many, many people with the skills to modify their existing CMS for you. Dan
