If GOOGLE is so smart why do I have to worry about accidental / curious clicks on my own ads.

I have to worn the whole family not to go anywhere near the ads to make sure they do not accidentally click on them which might get me banned.

If GOOGLE is so smart in tracing clicks why can't they just ignore my IP address and I can sleep at night without worrying.

COME ON, THINK ABOUT IT..... GOOGLE makes a BILLION dollars a year ( a few pennies at a time ) and they can't figure that out.

    WAKE UP G O O G L E !!!

Good question. Maybe it would require more manpower then its worth?? I have scripts in place so that I don't see my own ads.

Yup, they just think that real "publishers" don't run their businesses with family etc.. they simply ignore us.

while google is the ultimate super power... they do not know who your family is and what computers they search from. but from my experience, I have clicked my own ads before and was not given credit for the click... so it looks like they are on to it now.

Adsense now counting them as invalid clicks.. but its always safe to stay away from your own ads.

Why are you so worrying about it?

Why not just use ad block on ur PC? Block all ads for your own site, so that no one can click on them

Im sure it's not only clicking own adds. It's about double and mass clicking by other people. Also showing the website to your friends and they might make clicks. Somehow google can recognize this as a wanted clicking.

The original poster is actually worrying that about clicks from his own PC. He dont want anyone to click on ads on his own site from his own PC.

You won't get banned for accidental / curious clicks, unless you've been REALLY curious the whole day :D

Just a few clicks a day will not get you banned :) . You need to work hard for a couple of hours to get banned ;)
