Have I chosen a wrong niche?

I started my blog with the education niche, but now I realize that the majority of any students would be college students. I originally planned to target middle school through college, but that isn't working out too well. I know I'm just beginning, but I'm starting to doubt. Help?

Make another blog dedicated to a college student niche. Compare the two's traffic. 2 > 1 right?

Well.. what's the problem of including college? If other things don't work well, then feel free to go with college.

Just a very random idea, if you have two separate blogs you can try different things on them and compare the results.

You need to move with your instinct. Niches will come and go and some are more difficult then others..

Have patience and dont be beaten!

Make sure you properly research any niche you are planning to go in to. Check how many searches keywords surrounding your niche get, and check the competition.

yup it's important to consider if your targeted niche has the buying power too.

    Just do your research beforehand!

I'd stick with the college students. They have more money and (sort of) and don't have to yell downstairs for their credit card.

You have hit a very important point. I remember when I first started online I kept on choosing niche markets that did not generate any money. You will learn this skill as you go on. You need to choose one that generates decent profits and can generate repeat sales as most of your money will be earned in the backend. Sometimes I have chosen a market and later saw it was not profitable and canned. This is the stable foundation or home for your business so make sure that you get it right.
