Whilst Using FTP !

    Response: 150 Accepted data connection
    Response: 550-Quota exceeded: sitemap.xml won't be saved
    Response: 550 40120 Kbytes used (391%) - authorized: 10240 Kb

    I tired to upload Sitemap to my site (in fact I tried to upload any type of file) and the same message came up in my log.

    Can anyone shed any light on this and then maybe how I can fix it ?

    Sounds like you're using more space on the hard drive than your web host allows.

    Delete some things then it will probably work.

    hmm tried that....I deleted a shitsu load too !

    Could it have something to do with the FTP allowance. Might i have to jack up the maximum allowed for that particular FTP account (if you understand what I am saying)

    In that case, you should check within FTP section in your hosting control panel, if there is any limitation

    I did after I gave myself the idea but didn't work either. Its unlimited.. Hmmm bloody wierd

    Login to the server or ask your host if you really do have a 10 meg limit. It looks like you won't get anywhere until you increase the limit or delete some files.
