High PR paid directories. Do you know the benefits?

I decided to get listings for my site in paid High PR directories.
For example business.com Do you know similar directories?

Does anyone have an experience in such way of website promotion? Is it beneficial?
Or is it better to submit my site to 1k free directories?

Do both, as both are better.

 

Yes, i agree to do both free is free you will get some traffic and you submit to paid directory that will get you more traffic to your site too.

In free directory try to submit as feature link that will get you more link popularity. That will increase traffic, alexa rank, google will crawle more often. Good luck

Note: keep note in excel where (directory URL) did you paid? how much did you paid? and for how long? (yearly or life time) keep all record for paid directory.
