We run a few sites that target new Moms so affiliate programs like BabiesRUs and ToysRUs are a great fit and have traditionally done *very well*. I noticed our commissions dropping and looked at the legal description for each respective program in Linkshare. They updated their return days to .208, or FOUR HOURS. This is insane! Has anyone else seen a trend with some of the bigger programs reducing their return days? I tried contacting them on several occasions but everything was ignored. We actually drive quite a bit of volume too.
When merchants do insane things it may be time to look for a new merchant to promote. I don't work with Linkshare, and now I don't think I want to.
I just wanted to clarify one thing! The return days are set by each individual program within Linkshare. Some programs within Linkshare are still great!
