Why would somebody who lives in such a diverse city as SanFrancisco judge someone based on their uncommon, ethnic name. You wouldn't, you would be used to seeing an array of unique names everyday.
He is setting Mehoob (Avis) up even farther, or wanting it to look that way. This is a really hard call.
If I could afford to I would call Sylvia Brown.. LOL j/k

Okay all this is looking bad for avis03, why didnt he tell us yesterday that he had sold the domains, instead of just saying he didnt have them, he could have said he sold some and here is the guy I sold them to, yesterday when all this was happening, avis03 just said I dont have any others- not I sold some, I will try to help you guys recover them..

    Just got this.

"ok i believe they were stolen domains, if you can tell me how to transfer the domains i will do it, he told me to register anything on godaddy and i would get the domains. I never used godaddy before, also i want to make sure i get my money back from this guy before if you can wait that would be for the better."

I told him to just push the names now and I would try to help him get his money back.

Who else still has domains missing from the scammer?

Is there any WhoIs website out there that shows all transfers of a domain name and the times of each transfer? That would be a HUGE help in figuring this out. I'm sure the registrars have the info but fat chance getting them to help.

That would be brilliant then we could trace all history of our domains.

But theres no luck with Godaddy, they are so useless, I really hate that they allow scammers to get away while we suffer :(

i think godaddy is a worthless POS company, i emailed them so many details, links, documentation and they kept coming back w/ "we dont get involved in 3rd party disputes"....i was clear time & again it was a dispute, it was a scam. I told them they would be hearing from my attorney w/ about 2 dozen others for a class action law suit.

    here is their response today:

    Dear Sean Wagner,

Thank you for your email. You had a 3rd party purchase agreement in place. We will not investigate the series of events of a transaction in which we are not involved. In the future, please use our domain auction site, TDNAM.COM, or an escrow service to sell domains.

Any further disputes over the ownership or wording of the domain name will need to be sent either to the registrant, through an arbitration forum such as World Intellectual Property Organization (http://www.wipo.int), or the court system. Please be assured that if we receive notice of a pending legal dispute we will lock the name so that it cannot be transferred or otherwise modified. Likewise when we receive a Decision we will update the name accordingly.

    Thank you

    Domain Services

    Undo Department

luckily i got these 20 domains back on my own or i would have been out of some serious money. Godaddy sucks, they continue to allow for this scammer & the same scammer to do it.

You know godaddy sucks, basically they are saying if you pay them a yearly fee-meaning tdnam-costs a fee- they will protect you but if you don't they will not protect you so basically by leaving customers out there they are forcing them to pay for another godaddy service in addition to domain registration- WHICH IS NOT RIGHT

Yes. I agree with wagz. Godaddy sucks and their norms allow the scammers to steal the domains easily. i sent many complaints regards this issues. they reply same message, "You had a 3rd party purchase agreement in place." .

Actually the scammer asked especially for godaddy portfolios only. so that scammers knows godaddy only the best for them...

I am godaddy client since 2003, nevery bought domains with any registrars. now i really fed up with godaddy norms...

anyway i recovered all my domains back...

Last I heard from the guy.

"until money has been sent back to me, im not doing anything, avis has not contacted me at this matter as of yet.
i have no idea how to return them i can give up my user/pass on godaddy once i recieve my refund/money. Anymore from you will be ignored, you sent me a load of spam and i regarded to you and others who emailed, no money no domains period, bringing this to court will not solve anything but a waste of your time.

i have enough threats and people emailing me im tired of all this bull, i bought for the domains, now people come to me their stolen, go ahead and reverse the domains then if you can't stop emailing me on threats when i can personally charge you for that as a matter of fact.

I'm now waiting for mehboob so please stop emailing me and tell your friends to stop, harassing someone who bought these domains is not the way to get them returned understand me?"

And Mods, I'm not bumping the thread, I'm keeping people informed. =P

Hey, I have returned the domains which I bought from the seller at my expense of $1125. I did not sell any domains to that scammer who is claiming he bought them from me, Mehboob. I am a reputable DP member with 40 itrader and have been here for years. I dont lie, and I did not sell him any domains. All domains I bought unintentionally from the scammer have been returned as I thought that was the right thing to do. there is nothing more I can do for anyone else. Thanks.

There is no way to tell whether this is the truth or not...
He might be the real buyer (bought the domains from the scammer), and as a buyer, of course he won't give the domains to anyone (even if they are stolen property) without receiving his money back. This is normal. Saying "give me the domains first and I will help you recover your money" will do little to persuade him.
But, it is also possible that he is the scammer (using another identity). There is no way to tell.

So, if avis never contacted John, how could John know the name "Mehboob"??
