that's what I experienced when I got a front page feature on Metafilter. I think I got like $8 that day. Of course the day later, it was back to the usual 40 cents.
i was only going to experiment that for a few days,.....it brought me huge traffic but i guess it wasnt worth it....
To me if you are asking for digg and stumble exchanges. Than you are just converting temporary traffic not made for adsense money making campaigns. Really its just for traffic. How many who actually do a stumble or digg actually read the entire website and explore. Coverting that digg/stumble traffic to help generate money from adsense is I'm sure something you need to tweak. Otherwise you just traffic for a digg and a stumble without any genuine interest to what you have on your website or what it offers.
The benefits of Digg and Stumbleupon are the links that you will get from people seeing your post and not the 1-day profit you will make from them. It is well known that many of the people who use Digg block ads. But many bloggers will see your post if you are on the front page of Digg and they will write about it and give you a link back. Not to mention the PR8 link from Digg's homepage which is worth more than $10 even if it is temporary. Many people, including John Chow, made a name for themselves by being on Digg; who read him before he hit Digg a couple of times? There is more to Digg (and Stumbleupon) than the few dollars that you can make in one day. Cheers!
Tell you what... My cpm has increased ..... Thanks God i didnt post anything on Digg/Stumble.... I wouldnt say Digg did any damage...but stumbleupon for sure... I just got 20 cents/click I Was getting 4-5 cents/click with stumble traffic Should i continue posting at Digg tho?
Because of Stumbleupon traffic I deleted one of my post...cause It was creating fraud impression which can make banned from adsense....The main reason for deleting the post was I was getting only traffic from Stumbleupon no other source..
guess...Digg is fine then... Stumbleupon brings insane traffic...which is pretty much considered as Fraud ....in Google Books lol
This is news... Number of clicks is constant though.. As for stumbleupon traffic, what you should understand is that stumble upon users are there to surf and stumble. Rather then clicking your ADs, they had rather stumble into another site....
aight man im fking happy..i got the click rate back just got 30 cents off 1 click again 4-5 cents were literally pissing me off!
couldn't you just put the ads inside an iframe? make them invisible as much as possible. that way there's no referral. just a thought... probably wont work.
If you get traffic from Digg, you will definitely get traffic from StumbleUpon. I get 5 times the traffic from Stumble. Alan
