Just wondering whats the best bank because i am planning to make a bank account because i finally reached 18 and also what kind of bank account is the best? =)
Let us know where are you are from and what is your financial requirements? Based on that we can recommend the bank as well as the type of account
well i am currently using Washing Mutual Checking Account.. Any recommendations? I am living in California US
Citibank is the most reliable of them all and I think it's all over the world. HSBC just opened here in Peru, so I haven't tested them yet. Are they good?
What are you looking for? High interest savings? Free checking? I like etrade for savings @ 4.4% apy. You can find free checking just about anywhere. Look at www.bankrate.com for some reference.
get a student checking account with WAMU, unless you got the big bucks and are looking for a competetive money market account or high yield savings
To be totally honest that is like asking how long a piece of string is. What do you want the bank account for, savings? overdraft facility? credit? discounts? Then you have to take into account; Interest figures Balance transfers Your monthly income Size of credit/overdraft If your a student? etc...etc...etc... I would do what I did and just go into the top banks and sit down with one of their advisors, discuss what you need/want, how much you earn, and all that crap. Once you have been to them all, get out your calculator and find which one is the best for you. Good luck, and congratulations on turning 18.
Washuing Mutual is a great bank without any monthly fee , opposit to wells fargo and bank of america which they charge nonthly fees
