I can't remember the last time i went out for some sort of activity that did not involve drinking... Ok, so clubbing/pubbing/socialising is understandable... But we would go to play poker/bowling/pool and we would have a few beers. Fishing, jazz nights, simply chilling around my mates, quiz nights at uni and even developer's meeting would involve drinking... I don't have a drinking problem because at the end of the day i can just not drink but it seems like things i enjoy doing are so much better after a few beers. In most cases we don't even get drunk... Just have a few pints to chill you out. Did anyone else notice the same thing? Especially UK chaps... because i understand that this forum is so multicultural i don't even expect some members to have tried alcohol before...
Until the point comes where you cant have fun doing those things without a few beers then there's no prob really.
Going out and having a couple beers is alright, its just when u get wasted every night, thats when you should be worried. Beer is good though, i know i would have a drinking problem if i had enough money to waste
It seems cause it his dude... In the long run it's really bad for your body and you can get addicted... Do one test, try to do all that stuff for one month WITHOUT drinking... If you can still have fun, you're ok...If you notice that you simply can have fun or even you're in a bad mood...I guess you have the beginning of a addiction. Maybe not yet physical, but at least a mental one...
This is not good...every time you go out drinking beer after beer...every activity is associated with drinking alcohol...it's too much...take a break and drink long and soft cocktails
I totally agree with the drinking everywhere. I have been aware of it for quite some time and it really bothers me when we go out and those drinks get out of hand. A couple of months back, we had a big party at my place, people lost control at about midnight and all I can say is that my place was wrecked. Woke up at about 8am and there were still a few people left finishing the last of the beer. Since then, I try not to have alcoholic drinks when we go out to socialize. It really makes you look more sophisticated and refined. IMO Dan
