2 things that are really pissing me off

    First:
A lot of affiliate networks go only towards US or Canadian traffic. Well, I'm myself from US but what's the problem to go beyond our territory? I LOVE, just LOVE LuckyPacific, they are the only network that I know that actually does give you some campaigns to run for people from Asia.

    Second:
People that don't know or don't want to reply to emails.
It seems like not answering your emails is something that some people like to do.
I'm working with Zanox for instance, and if I need a support from them the best thing is simply to call them to the Chicago office, because nobody replies to emails!
I do appreciate what they do on the other hand, because they go Internationally and do it like no other network does, and that's something that I like very much, however, among their advertisers I can definitely say the Polish (Poland) ones are great, they always reply to emails and very quickly, but many others don't.

Also, some advertisers don't bother to pay and Zanox doesn't force them to do so, and I'm not talking about just leads, I'm talking about 50 leads for a cellphone company in Italy (ringtones, users must use their cellphones to sign-up) and guess what, they "forgot" to go over their leads for December 2007. And you can add to the list some advertisers from Spain, and when I got an email from somebody from Zanox Spain I replied to her in Spanish about the campaign she mentioned and she explained they're going to bill this company and also the company is willing and wants to put pre-paid balance in their account for future leads.
I replied to her about all the other big list of advertisers that don't bother to check their leads and so far no reply but maybe that is because of the weekend, however I wouldn't be surprised if she won't reply. And trust me, this is just the tip of the iceberg, I'm not basing what I'm saying over those 2 cases only, oh oh, hell no.

Can anyone explain me what's wrong with people, why it is so difficult for you to reply to other people? I get a lot of emails everyday, believe me I do, and if somebody doesn't get a reply from me, that needs a very very good reason why I wouldn't do so.

Just wanted to share it with you because it's really pissing me off.

One ad network I worked with failed to respond to an email request a few weeks ago. Their ads disappeared from my site. They lost about 100k ad impressions a day.

I only with that I could afford to do that with the arrogant bastards at Google.

No response to emails are like the business killer when it comes to online networks.

It fails to impress any potential and existing customers/clients alike.

I just wonder what's the problem to reply to emails? What are they so busy with back there behind the scenes that they can't type an email back? Or maybe every person there works 3 hours a day which in that case makes a lot of sense.

I'm with you 100% on the email thing. Any time I have an issue with web related companies, eBay, PayPal, Amazon, any other affiliate programs, they have my call-back number by now. Leaving an email might get you answered between now, and the next bicentennial.

When people don't respond to emails, that is just poor customer service. Don't have an email address for people to email you if you aren't going to respond.

eBay is probably the worst company I've dealt with when it comes to not answering emails. I just refuse to shop there anymore.

I definitely feel you on the Google thing. Half the time, the people of even returning emails are just temp workers anyway.

Yeah not replying to emails is ignorance. Most affiliate companies I have had reason to contact are great, one store never though, was an important question as well. I gave up on them and excluded all evidence of them from site, needless to say a few weeks later I am emailed to ask why I am no longer promoting them, I didnt reply :)

Your example is so fascinating because I know a lot of companies who spam your inbox with promotions and everything, but when you reply to them they never reply, maybe if you're lucky you hear from them only once, and it's driving me nuts and I can't understand how people can feel free to spam you but on the same time to ignore you - what kind of 'repsect' they're expecting me to give them back?

I know answering back isn't a policy or something that is being enforced and definitely cannot be enforced on the Internet but when you serve people you need to respond to your clients, otherwise what kind of business do you have?

Thats the program with big companies is the people they have handling their customer service emails usually do do what they should with the email so it never gets to the right person. Affiliate managers don't answer emails sometimes because their lazy!

There are very, very few people who have my email address that I actually care about hearing from. Everyone else has instant messenger.
And this business is fast paced enough that if you're not on an instant messenger, chances are by the time you respond to an e-mail, I've already found someone to replace you.

Did you see anybody from Zanox using instant messenger? I'm using IM and that's not the issue. Many advertisers in networks such as CJ also don't have IM (some of them do and I do enjoy talking to them but many others don't).

Ah affiliate programs. Never had much need to interact with them. They pay me, or they have problems. End of story.

Another learning experience at DP. I had no idea that the e-mail communications from these larger affiliate programs was so bad! I answer EVERY e-mail I get. It's the courteous thing to do. The end. (and as is pointed out in the posts above..."don't respond" ...links dissappear.)

Thanks for all you teach me here guys.

Yeah, I'm not so much into begging for links.
Once again, almost everyone worth my time either has my IM info, or knows that my blog is the fastest way to get ahold of me.

The only affiliate program I (used to) work with that is HORRIBLE with communication is Azoogle.

CPA Storm and NeverBlueAds are excellent, responding to my emails in a few hours. One of the main reasons why I promote them more.
