What the hell is wrong with you? There are a million reasons not to believe in God. If you believe in God, that is your personal faith. Don't dictate what others should believe in. Unfortunately, the more pain I see, the distress, the level of poverty...... All that makes it very hard to believe that God actually exists, and does very little for its creation. Isn't Human being supposed to be the Ashrufal Makhlukaat, the Best Creation? Come to India, the land which is the birth place of the world's 2 largest religions, Hinduism and Buddhism, and many a different religions, cultures and languages have evolved in this magical land. Homosexuality is still addressed ambiguously in Indian law and is likely to be legalized very soon. There are almost no recorded instances of homosexuals being persecuted. In rural places, there's probably a taboo on the subject but the urban populace is much more open-minded. In fact, about three years ago, a lesbian movie, called 'Girlfriend' was produced and released in India. Although the public was quite disturbed by it, it definitely shows you that homos aren't met with as much hostility as you like us to think

I am an Indian myself. And I was referring to homosexuality. Dating a girl is common in Indian cities. but you should come to the villages, where 75% of India resides. If you're also an Indian, or know India, then you'll realise how conservative Indians are. The movie "Girlfriend" was an utter flop. You know about it... Dd you actually watch that movie? Homosexuality will never be legalized in India, not in a 100 years. We have people like Raj Thackery to take care of the stuff...
Homosexuality is illegal like wearing a fake moustache in church is illegal... ie, It's still on the statute books but it's not enforced and there are no convictions. In india, According to wikipedia, There hasn't been a conviction in over 20 years for homosexuality in india.

I think an athiest would do a better job for everyone in the US as a whole. I think a Athiest would be more fair to everyone regardless of their religious background than a Christian. I think an athiest would treat a muslim and a jew the same as a Christian which is what we need. Just because there are more Christians in the United States doesn't mean it has to have a Christian base. I know a lot of Christians who feel the same way.
