Weel, Friday the 2nd was a bad day for me. To start I got laid off from my real job after 10 months. Construction here in Florida is in the crapper! Then I get home and find an email from a Lawyer with a cease and desist order demanding that I remove all content from investedge (dot) us and turn over the domain to their client. After a few emails back and forth, I removed the content. I spent several hours developing the site and got it to PR3 and to page 2 (#14) in the SERPs for the search terms that returned over 16 millions results. Having told this to the laywer, I made him an offer t purchase the domain from me instead of heading off to the court house. So on Monday we struck a deal and his client purchased the domain from me for $500. About 4 months ago I puirchased the domain here for only $4. So I made a little money on it At least it will help some until I can get back to work.
Looks like you were strong armed into giving up the domain. The two word gomain is generic 'Invest Edge' and at best the company could have claimed a trademark on software sales. I think it was bogus that they didn't make an offer on the domain and rather hit you with a cease and desist. $500 was a good price for the domain but I would have demanded another $500 for aggravating me with the cease and desist.
