It doesn't suprise me! I think that Yahoo will need leadership and R&D to stay competitive with Google, Google has been leading Yahoo for several years now. I'm suprised that they didn't negotiate the offer!

That is still no official news, some leak of the news but I haven't seen any official response yet, I guess they might be trying to do this to up the price that Microsoft have to pay.

Yahoo! is not stupid ... they are just trying their chances for more money. Yahoo! knows if Microsoft is desperate then they will offer higher amount, that's Yahoo! want.

Again if Microsoft is not buying them finally, Google will come forward to help them ( as I read in some article that they might have a partnership with Google in advertising ) and rescue from sinking as Titanic.

Hard to say on that, if Microsoft is not buying, I guess Google might as well bury Yahoo, don't see why they would be helping their competitor

Don't be ignorant and make dumb comments. If Google bought them they would become a monopoly and be disassembled by the government for owning the majority of the market.

Who give you the right to call me ignorant and to judge my comments? Making comments without reading the whole threat is the dumbest thing YOU can do.

Yahoo is SOOOO Stupid. A 60% over current value cash offer..like they are going to BUILD value. Dumbasses.
Search marketing is dying, search biz is dying..watch..they will do what AOL did with google..have Google take over search and adverts, then get dumped on the renewal with google owning them outright for pennies.
Who runs this company? Absurd how they operate- Id LOVE to meet the wizard behind the curtain at yahoo and just rip them up and down. My 8 year old could run this company better.

They could be doing some bargaining, rejecting $31 and hoping to get a higher price from Microsoft, not forgetting $1 difference is a huge difference in such high stake mergers and acquisitions.

When was the last time you 8 year old was offered forty billion dollars?

You obviously don't know their reasoning behind declining (nor does anyone on internet, we can only assume). What if they're sure that Microsoft will raise their bid? They'd be idiots to accept the first offer in that case.
