Who here has seen Rise of the Footsoldier? Damn, what a brilliant film, I suggest to you all if you haven't already seen it, you watch it by any means possible. If you like films about drugs, violence, gangland, football violence, murder, torture, fighting - this film is probably for you :D. I ain't promoting violence or anything but this film has you on the edge of your seat all the way through. Plus, there is no messing around, the story kicks in from the start.

No it isn't good, especially when it's done by the Turkish Mafia. But seriously it isn't a film for the faint hearted. Watch it, sheer brilliance.

I spent my teenage years at Upton Park during the 80's casual days (good ole days) often standing in the Chicken Run or the South Bank taunting the fans of whoever we was playing. Carlton Leech was a terrace legend a top boy in the ICF. The other firm at West Ham was the Under 5's the "scouts" who would usually stand mobbed up at Queens market place waiting for the other fans to come out the ground.

Rise of the footsoldier isn't really about football violence although it does start of showing you clips of how the ICF started. Tony Tucker wasn't West Ham he was just an Essex bouncer bully boy robbing everyone and everything that come his way, they say the shootings was due to the deaths of the many youngsters from taking ecstasy in the early 90's one being a high profile coppers daughter. Thats not fact but rumors, who knows.

I liked the film very much very realistic and true to life, a job very well done 10 out of 10 from me.
