What car should I buy?

I am looking for a used sports car for about 4 or 5k. I don't have much experience buying cars so what should I be looking for. How many miles should a car like this have on it?

well Wish you luck in finding one If you can raise it to some ~10k than I would suggest you to get a BMW Z3

 

get a porsche for taht, on ebay search porsche in cars and click buy it now, lowest first

 

buy Toyota, or Nissan those 2 are best for that money.
under 150.000km would be nice.

just check engine for oil leak and bottom of car for rusted level.

and forget about sport cars

because sport car with that price can't beat my grandmother on marathon.

 

With tha budget I would suggest looking for a Hyundai Tiburton or a Mitsubishi eclipse.

 

Yeh i'm not too sure what sports can you can get with 4-5k. Go with a toyota.

 

Get a 1990 Nissan 300ZX twin-turbocharged.

 

All cars are overpriced and unreliable.

Well 4-5k is a low price range for a quality sports car. My car is for sale on ebay right now, but its already been bid over $5k.

 

Toyota Celica, Mercury Cougar, Hondai Tiberon. You Could find one of those in your price range.

Within the price tag of 4-5k and looking for a quality sports car is really difficult. Have to do a thorough search on ebay!

 

tiburan are a nightmare , my g/f had one and they really were bad on gas too.With $5,000 budget i would say forget the sportscar and buy something reliable.

 

I concur, there are a bunch of nice cars for around $5,000 that will get you were you need.

 

1990 Nissan 300ZX is the ultimate in ride freakiness because the twin-turbo mod...make sure mileage isn't too high.

 

you can't buy a porsche for that much. maybe a beat up one with 300k miles
