Do you make your affiliate sales through a "review" site? PPC? An opt-in list? Currently, I review products in my niche and make sales that way and I want to expand on my methods.
You can use any method ... Just you must know how, when & where to use it ! I myself make sales through PPC
I do door-to-door sales ...just kidding, I use PPC, but like he said, you can do it however you'd like
I use domain names and have them redirected to the sites i want to promote... I also use article marketing..
Hi! I promote the links only on manual traffic exchange, text exchange or banner exchange. All for free. You don't need to spend money to make sales or find affiliates.
Product and merchant reviews are the best way to generate affiliate sales. You can really get deep into a merchant's product offering by looking at their site or their datafeed. Once you see which products are converting you can add on some PPC traffic to increase your sales and commissions. PPC should be done very slowly and carefully. You have to test different product categories for conversions. Make sure to get the highest payout you can from the merchants you affiliate with...
Here are some ideas for reviews/product comparisons The products must be substitutes for one another - Don't compare apples and oranges, that makes no sense Choose your "top pick", and make it clear which one this is Review no more than 5 products...Any more than that and all you're going to do is confuse the buyer Highlight many features so that you appeal to the most people (people will be interested in different features) Add a date to your page that is dynamic (automatically changes) that says "Reviews last modified February 10, 2008"...That will make your users feel that they're getting the most accurate info Add some text somewhere that says that you're :constantly reviewing new products and would like feedback. If you don't agree with our selections or feel that there is another product/service that we are missing, please let us know". That will help make it look as if your reviews are non-biased. Those are just some tips...You want the reviews to look accurate, non-biased, and complete
seo/ppc/article marketing - i split test my review pages with google web optimizer to see which one sends more clicks through a php redirect that automatically adds the corresponding affiliate program tracking code (3 related products may be under diff programs with diff tracking method) so i know which variation the sale came from....affiliate marketing is all about tracking every important detail and using that to improve your bottom line. also excellent tips from GTAce

I've been told by one of my top affiliates that "review" sites are being penalized at Google and other search engines. Are you finding this to be the case with your "review" site? or are you receiving just as much traffic and revenue as when you began your site? (My affiliate does PPC with the review site) Thanks for any input here.
