Some of my blogs get indexed in google within about ten minutes. Others take a day or two. Why is this? How fast is your indexed?

if your blog has been up a while and you post often I find it takes Goo less than an hour. Longer is you don't post often or the blog is new.

I think it might all depend on your ranking, if you are playing for the top places each post is indexed faster than for lower positions.

It depends on my blogs. Normally most of them are on sub-domain and when I post, it takes anywhere between 5-30 mins. All are set as auto-ping.

IMO - inbound quality links also play an important part about frequency of indexing.

Google tends to crawls frequently updated blogs more then slower updating blogs. My blog with ~1 post/day gets crawled within 5-9 hours, while my blog with 4-6 posts per day gets crawled within 10-20 minutes.

Each you make a new posting of your blog, you ping it to blog directories and RSS feed directories. And also submit the posting to 50 - 100 social bookmarking sites (If your blog platform is Wordpress, you can add sociable plugin to it).
