Why I receive soooo low CPC in my Adsense?

I'm using Adsense for almost two weeks, but I receive around $0.03 per click.
Is this normal for the first weeks until the crawlers serve me with more relevant ads.

    Clicks Earnings
    7 $0.35
    10 $0.45
    14 $0.82
    17 $2.47
    19 $1.02
    29 $1.77

This is so depresing :( Can I improve my CPC somehow?
My site niche is mainly about celebrities and as know this niche is highly competitive, thus relevant and high paying ads needs to be sticked to my site.

P.S. Sorry, as I remember it's against the rules to post Adsense earnings, but still I wan't to show if my earning are so depresing relative to the clicks or not.

Well, that is actually not that bad my friend, not bad at all.

I have a few sites in the same niche and you are right it is competitive, but it looks like you haven't even been smart-priced yet if I had to take a guess. Those numbers are really not that bad, especially in this market which is "over-done".

The traffic seems low, you need to work on your increasing your traffic to profit from the Google adsense program.

YEah you are better dude. I got 1 cent for 3 clicks . LOL . It seems bidding in adword went down to less than a cent or google is now paying around 10% to publishers.

Bettering keywords isn't always an option, for instance if you have a blog/website about Britney Spears then adding content like med's, dieting, loans and credit isn't really going to help - just stick to it, try not to focus on the cpc - try getting more traffic and improving the traffic origin (ie. from U.S).

You'll see rises and falls of the CPC it's natural, like if Britney's back in the spot light then you will see an increase in CPC as advertisers cash in on the related searches, or if a celebrity has another scandal then likewise the ad's will pick up in CPC price - try to follow the news and stick to hot topics.

If you have a site that attracts a lot of visitors you could look at alternative ad services such as Adbrite.

Never go with entertainment niche. The CPC is so low and most of the time you will get 1 cent click. I gave up adsense on my entertainment niche long ago. Instead I suggest you go for CPM :)

Do we have to put up with this ? Isn't there maybe another ad network we could use that would pay better in the entertainment / celebrity niche ?

    Hi,

Have you guys heard of Pay Per Play (PPP)? Their ads are similar to radio and television ads.

They are in beta right now, they promised a high CPM rate once they finished testing.
