Deindexed Lately?

Has anyone had blogs or websites being deindexed lately? I have had a few and have heard of some others with the same thing. Seems like something is going on. The sites that were deindexed are as legit as it gets. I made sure they were totally Google compliant. Any ideas or thoughts?

An email from your competitor? He was probably reported your site to google for something and was being sarcastic..

this has been going on for quite some time now. Google is taking ations against all those sites that are involved in what they call "SERP manipulation" by way of buying/selling links. Blogs with hint of association with Pay Per Post and other such services have been hit hard.

Besides old tricks like Keyword stuffing, unusual redirection is also coming under serious Google glare.

You guys may check these things.

    jhnrang,

Yes I think you are right. I have a shopping cart through Volusion they set up a subdomain and pointed that address to my blog which is hosted on godaddy. It had appache errors when trying to reach the blog from the subdomain address. Go daddy made a change for me and Poof I lost all search results.

will google notify you that you did something wrong? How can I know waht the issue is? I feel like a 5th grader in college.

I have done none of these things. Actually i have checked everything possible to see that I am in line ith the webmaster guidelines. Seems like your site might get reported and you could get deindexed just because. No real answer. Even though you provide information that is real.

these are just technical glitches generally. weve been seeing a lot of pages in and out of the index recently for no apparent reason.

they always seem to come back, - only worry if youve been doing something naughty ;)

I had it happen about ten days ago with a fairly new site (not a blog) that was getting good traffic. Completely white hat. No funny biz at all. I think I'll just wait it out for a while. I believe that it's not banned because the tbpr bar is still white, and I've heard it goes gray when a site is banned.

Also, Gbot keeps spidering. So, for now, I'm accepting it all as just another lesson in patience.

Do you mean you're running paid text links on your site? And, was it an older site?

Nope. This site as I said is totally legit. There are no paid links on it or any links I paid anyone else for. So I have no idea what the heck the deal is. I think someone sabotaged me. It sucks when you work so hard on a site and get all the links yourself, write all the articles yourself only to be deindexed. I wonder if it was even maually looked at by Google or just deindexed off a report made by someone. If they visually inspected it there is really nothing at all they could say. Thats why this crap is horrible when it happens if you have truly worked hard.

Then you have no idea if someone from Google will ever even give you the few minutes to look over your site and approve it back in. Thats all I need is that few minutes for someone to just give that site a tiny bit of attention to see I write all this stuff and that I am not trying to do any blackhat stuff at all.

Something very similar happened to one of my sites.. I worked very hard establishing quality links (Wikipedia worthy on SEVERAL articles), provided a respectable service, added new and fresh content each day, only to have the site go from 500+ pages to nothing. The site: operator says the site isn't found.

Talk about being discouraged. There were no redirects, or hidden/masked links, no keyword stuffing, just a single adsense ad on select pages. All the sites similar in nature remain indexed, and I've yet to figure out the irregularity that would explain why this site was removed, but not the others.

Whatever - I've done the webmaster tools bit, submitted a sitemap and will just wait it out...

I too am seeing strange things with a site of mine.

But I doubt that your competitors reporting you will do anything within google. I have been reporting a competitor for the last 3 months because he shows up consistently at #1 on all the major keywords and and with the exact same content at #5 or #6 using a different domain. This has to be the dark side of SEO at work here.

I have reported this site numerous times to google and even mentioned it on certain google staff blogs, but nothing, so I can't see how you could be thrown off if your site is legit.

I have seen some of my sites getting deindexed for apparent reason.

I have not sold links...nothing...still got deindexed.

May be it is temporary glitch and hope they get back within the next few months.

That's about the same time one of my sites dropped from Google. It's not deindexed, but it lost rank for everything including the very unique site name. So fare this month it has received less then ten visitors from Google. It does not even rank for any long tailed keywords.

My PR has remained, and in fact I actually gained PR on an internal page. I did nothing blackhat to explain the huge drop in serps.

To gain its rank back, I tried nofollowing every external link and that was no help. I reduced some outbound links and that was no help. I've added fresh and unique content and that is no help. My problem must be related to backlinks, but they were all free and natural.

Good luck to everyone else. I'm about ready to get another domain and start again with this site. :(

Believe me, one of my websites was deindexed from 18,000 pages to 2,000 plus pages. And you are left wondering what crime you've done in the world that Google has to treat your site that way.

I have a few sites that apparently had duplicate content on whypark servers. These were de-indexed, and have been for about a month. However, several that I have cleaned up, have not been spidered again. Is this a ban? Eventhough the google webmaster does not mention re-inclusion, do I have to make a request for re-inclusion?
