First Msoft then a rummer of Apple somehow now there looking for a more forward approach from google? Google will not ever own yahoo
If Google buys Yahoo, it creates an extremely dangerous situation for the Internet. If Microsoft buys Yahoo though, it will be beneficial, as it will create a second pole of power.
I expect Yahoo prices to go down to $19 when the market opens on Monday, but it is also good time to buy in at such prices, can try a gamble that Microsoft is willing to up their offer.
Msoft will just enter "serious" hostile takeover moves by going direct to the shareholders, and begin BOD moves... they'll get what they're after.
well it simply stated that even Yahoo did consider the partnership with Google as stated in the article. Even the market analysts thinks is a great option as far as profits go for both companies.
If I were Yahoo, I wouldn't accept, especially from Microshaft. If anything, to avoid being nixed off the face of the internet in X amount of years, I would pair up with Google or Microsoft to collaborate on the future of the net. Between these three, they have the money and tech. to bring some really cool changes. You know though, that Microsoft would probably never be for this, since they are superior to everyone. Why would they follow any standard they themselves didn't create? And even with YPN, Microsoft couldn't compete with Google. YPN is failing hard. It's like Kmart vs. Walmart.
it is premature to predict YHOO is going back to $19 on the news. This is the normal bargainning process. Not only YHOO won't tank to $19, it will run up to $35 or more in the days ahead after shaking out weak hands. Yahoo is playing the upper hand game, they know Microsoft wants them, they know with $10 bil more it won't hurt MSFT a bit. Yahoo wants to be bought too, the objection is on the price.
Not really. Live Search Sux. If Microsoft owned Yahoo, it would only be a matter of time before that sucked as well...
My money is on a another company to buy them, some group of investors or another big internet player like Adobe.
