I'd say so buddy. He really needs to stop being Mr Nice Guy and start exposing McCain for the utter disaster that he will be. Nice links. I heard the speech on the Jack Blood show tonight on GCN live.
Ya, Ron Paul is too nice and speaks to intelligently. Lot of people are too stupid to understand the economy to know what he saying, so they just will just ignore him. That only connects him to intelligent individuals and not the masses. It's like what hilter said, "...Effective propaganda must limit its points of a few and these points must be repeated until even the last member of the audience understands what is meant by them." It you just keep repeating something that people want to hear, they will eventually believe it.
I thought this might be the campaign's choice, and likely why several pundits today have said that Ron Paul has won by forcing Romney to scale back because several of caucus wins were within doubt. There is a lot of value in making sure you continue to vote Ron Paul the rest of the way, as the Conventions, both at the state and national level are going to be reformed wherever Ron Paul delegates are, to reflect the true party principles. And Dr. Paul has not given up, but has to defend his congressional seat against a serious neocon challenge, because losing his seat, would make it very difficult to have a voice after 2008. As I mentioned before, if you truly believe in the principles of individual liberty, and freedom, there are a LOT of Ron Paul Republicans, running for everything from dog catcher, to the Senate, and they could use your votes, donations or at the very least moral support in your area. I'll be working to put together a list of them, because this campaign wasn't only about Ron Paul, it is about principles that are the foundation stone of liberty.
If your Friendswood, TX zipcode is 77549, you are in Ron Paul's district. If it's 77546, you may be in his district; that zip shares with multiple representatives, so you need to know you're ZIP+4 to find out. Find your ZIP+4: http://zip4.usps.com/zip4/welcome.jsp Check your representation: http://www.house.gov/ (Top left)
Bern, Dr. Paul could definitely use you if you are in his district. Help to turn out some voters for him! Actually, if you are one of Dr. Paul's constituents, it might not be that hard to arrange to meet him.
I'm in 77546 and I have received a call inviting me to a rally/function in Lake Jackson. I couldn't make it though. No worries. I'll get it all sorted out.
I think the free state project is interesting but that it is doomed to fail for the following reasons: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6015291679758430958
Well, it ain't over yet, so if you can cast a vote for Ron Paul, by all means, please do so. The campaign has tightened up, adding in offline donations to the live counter, and reports from Washington State indicate we may have picked up the majority of delegates. Don't trust the online delegate counts from CNN and other news services which guess the caucus convention results. With the recent Louisiana preference poll, no one got 50% +1 vote, and so the Ron Paul delegates will be marching to the state convention to swing LA to Ron Paul. At the very least, we're going to shape GOP platform, county, state and national. It's worth fighting for to make a difference.
News, news, news.... Great Billboard in Wisconsin (the first of many) http://www.lewrockwell.com/blog/lewrw/archives/019332.html I think this is my favorite billboard design. ---- http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/politics/5528537.html
The campaign was saying prior to Washington State, that he had more than 42. I think there might be a surprise, and Paul has closer to 75 now.
Ron Paul: No John McCain endorsement http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/news/politics/blog/2008/02/ron_paul_will_not_support_a_jo.html --- Great line from that crazy b*tch Anne Coulter the other day, when speaking to the YAF (Young Americans for Freedom, post-Goldwater Reagan movement) "Ron Paul is very smart. So I don't want to talk to him too long for fear that he will convince me." --- Ron Paul Won't Be President But He Just May Change the GOP Forever! http://w3.newsmax.com/a/feb08/
I think it will come down to whether or not John McCain will self destruct and whether or not the economy will finally succumb to the inevitable before November. These are the wild card factors and its a long time to go before November. If the economy melts down with bank runs etc more people will be calling for drastic action which only Ron Paul has been calling for.
The campaign is calling for a march on Washington D.C. before the convention: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryMliyeIDp4
A Paulunteer in Wisconsin, Heather, just had an anti-McCain resolution passed unanimously at her GOP branch meeting, and now the resolution will be carried on to the county convention. http://nowaymccain.com/ ---- Word from the Washington State RP Coordinator, is that Ron Paul has (based on preliminary counts) won twice as many delegates as any other GOP candidate. Combined with Romney's freeze in Nevada, and what we hope legal challenge will show in Louisiana, the campaign is still picking up steam towards the convention. Please continue to turnout and vote for Ron Paul. I think this is far from over and we are making a difference. ----
