    have always been a windows fan, but after using a friend's computer that had vista...i'm rethinking. my friend's computer had 4 times the RAM, a better processor than my xp-based computer, but vista was still much much slower...apple is not looking so bad right now.

    95% of computers aren't windows. They are PC. It has nothing to do with operating system, it's about architecture. You can run windows on Mac for example.
