Want to start with BANS site, but need to get approved with CJ. Whats the best way?

So, I want to get started with a BANS site, but need to get approved from CJ first. I don't want to invest the money in BANS, if, for some reason, I don't get accepted. But I need a site to get approved, right?

What's the best way to go about doing this? What kind of site do I have to show them? Would the one in my sig work (its completely unrelated to affiliates. Just some beginner site I developed a while ago when I was really new to website building)?

If it won't work, whats the next best way? I really just want to start with a bans site, so I'd hate to build a site just to get approved by them and not use it. Seems like a waste.

Thanks. I read the thread, but I really just want a simple answer and want to know if my site in my sig is sufficient enough to get an approval from CJ. Thanks.

Sorry to bump, but a simple answer as to whether or not my site will suffice for CJ approval.

CJ doesn't approve accounts like other networks do, You put your info, submit, and they send you an email with your password. takes less then 5 minutes. After that you apply with the advertiser, most have instant approval.

If you are not from US, I suspect that CJ will reject your application into eBay affiliate program even if you own a decent website. That's what happened to me.

thankfully I got accepted to eBay UK without problems :)

    Any reason?

What I plan to do is just show them the site in my sig, just to get approved, and I'll be making a completely new site (using BANs) once approved. I just dont want to spend the time/effort of making a BANs site in case I don't get approved.

I too want to know why they auto-reject non US affiliates.

I've email them but never hear back from them. Go to eBay forums and you will see many facing similar issues.

I m fine with eBay UK as there are less competition and the payout ain't all that bad.
