What are dmoz directories?

What are dmoz directories?Are they important for good ranking in search engines?If yes then how?Can i get a list of all the dmoz directories?

 

They may be good, but they are impossible to get listed in.

 

I have submitted a website in Dmoz before a year ago, still not listed.
You should do submissions but have to wait for a long time.

 

Getting Listed in Dmoz? I guess it is nearly impossible, unless your site is something very special.

Good luck trying to get listed on DMOZ. Too much corruption and self-interested "editors" there. I hope Google stops using it as an "authority" site.
