    Because the site is different and attract traffic, because most websites that are invested in are not stupid because they'd be developed by intelligent people who are not stupid to think of stupid ideas for a site :)

    It's just taking advantage of stupid people. This is America, land of the free and home of the stupid. Seriously, has anyone visited or know any teachers in public schools. There are some decent kids these days, but there are too many whack-jobs with parents that don't give a damn. Flashy sites with a cool game might seem dumb, but it works.

    For me PerezHilton is nothing special, who does it appeal to, all 13 yr old girls. It has lame stories, and ads promoing adult products and other junk. Im sure it does really well, hence the traffic, still shit. Won't last, its already started its downward decline, here today, gone tommorow.

    On one hand, yes, it's going to be a downward decline, but it's making 9,000 in private ads, and who knows how much in adsense or any other thing.

    Not only that, the guy has his own VH1 show now, and is in Magazines all the time.

    So if he's not blowing all his money, he's one rich guy with a site for 13 year olds...meanwhile some of us are still trying to get some $$$ by any means necessary
