Has anyone ever tried "referral" marketing with any level of success?? I would think finding people around the country to market for your business ... not for a salary or upfront payment ... but for "results-oriented" referral fees ... could be difficult ... No one is going to put TOO much effort into advertising ... etc. ... without some sort of guaranteed result ... yes?? Just something I am mulling over ... trying to figure out how to best approach it ... Any ideas or experience ...??
I am unsure if you are speaking about obtaining "New" business from referrals or Affiliate Marketing. I will assume that you are asking about "Affiliate Marketing". Affiliate Marketing can be very rewarding. You can produce a product such as an eBook, a script or a membership service to name a few. When you are finished you can publish it on The Top Name Affiliate Networks. These networks have some of the most Successful Internet Marketers romoting these products to their niche markets. The majority of these Affiliates have a favorable amount of people who have "opt in" to receive new offers. There are thousands of Affiliates. -or You can sign up as an Affiliate with these networks. Browse the catagories specific to your niche...check out the sales page and conversion rates (very important) and then promote that product. This is the easiest way for a beginner "newbie" to get involved. If you decide on the first option you need to know that there is a lot of work. Heck....either way is a lot of work, but option one will take more. You will not be successful if you do not have the right collaboration of materials to convert the sale. Option two takes care of this. The only thing you need to do is promote. The whole process from courting the idea of which Affiliate Product to choose to cash in your Paypal account will not happen with out effort. If you apply your self and implement the advice you are given then you will achieve success. I have been successful with Internet Marketing but on a small scale. I have been actively implementing lessons learned and am seeing results. I am not to a six figure income with this ...yet ..but I know you can make the money that people claim they make. Sean ... never "assume" ... you know what happens ... Actually I am talking about generating new business ... from referrals ... paying cash referral fees to people who would help me generate this new business ... but again ... trying to start something like this has its own issues ... finding people willing to put in a small time investment upfront ... with only the promise of a back end referral fee if their referral results in a sale ... The general idea would be though that they could do whatever they wanted on their end ... advertise via free ads ... hand out business cards ... whatever ... and generate website traffic ... and ultimately ... sales ... from which they would earn a referral fee ... Now ... if they turned around and chose to ask someone else to do that "for them" ... and chose to hand out part of this referral fee to someone else ... in effect creating an "affiliate" chain of some sort ... that could be mutually beneficial as well ... I have no idea if anyone has ever tried something like this ... although I'm sure that I'm not the first one to ever think of it ... I'm a little more based in reality than to think I'm the first one to ever think of anything ... (smile) ...
