I,m ONLINE for this quick JOB Instant payment via paypal The apache problem Failed to start apache : Starting httpd: Syntax error on line 1043 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf: format string must be an absolute path, or 'none' [FAILED] I understand that an address is required, please just correct the error by viewing the httpd.conf file. I,m available via yahoo messenger or can just email the httpd.conf file or you can edit the file on my server. very quick job. Hence the price 5 minutes work if that
why dont you just give your apache what apache wants add on line 1043 whatever path is needed OR remove whatever path you have there - use common sense and make your choice. then make a configuration check before starting depending on your linux version that config check might vary Google will help!!! on SûSE Linux - the config test would be rcapache2 configtest rcapache2 extreme-configtest redhat oriented dist have different syntax - you will know what you need! or Google for it.
sounds crazy ...but I have tried so many varitions hence why I have request someone to correct the error.....4 days later..with the same problem is not good for my health LOL
thats why TODAY is your best day to learn to solve it all on your own you have NOT yet posted any help to this post facts like: WHAT is your line 1043 - plus minus several lines of course what apache version do you have = 1.3 or 2.0 or 2.2 ? what OS do you have - what dist ? what is the output of your config test ?? normally that output may be more descriptive than the error msg
True...today is a new day WHAT is your line 1043 - plus minus several lines of course VirtualDocumentRoot 65.22.213.213:80 what apache version do you have = 1.3 or 2.0 or 2.2 ? Apache version 2.0.52 I have just upgraded from 2 hence why this problem what OS do you have - what dist ? CentOS Linux 4.4 I do not understand this line what is the output of your config test ?? Thanks in advance
re my: plus minus several lines of course pls give me as asked a few lines plus and minus that ONE config block! an IP most likely is wrong a PATH is required see http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/mod/mod_vhost_alias.html where on the server are your public docs ?? for example /srv/www/public_html go in your shell on your server to your public HTML documents root folder then type in pwd and look at the output if unsure re ur I do not understand this line what is the output of your config test ?? see my first post each dist has a precise syntax to TEST a configuration file Google to find YOUR shell command unless your CentOS docu tells you differently a Google search may most likely show you something like the redhat oriented syntax: apache2ctl configtest in your shell logged in on your server (SSH or telnet ) the reason why in the error message it say an absolute PATH or none is simple if you have ONE domain only - then you most likely have the path defined/configured in another file as server root in this case NO path may do and the server default will apply else an absolute server is required
Hello If you are using cPanel , then I can rebuild your http.conf from the scratch. You just delete your httpd.conf and I will make it again for you within minutes. PM me if you are interested. Regards Vivek SunTex Hosting
Thanks for your help, I paid a freelancer to correct the problem, he determined that the error was ssl related as mod rewrite was not enabled. again thanks to all to offered support
