On a difficulty rating, how hard do you think it would be to take a keyword for example

Wallpapers (to rank front page in google.com for this keyword)

That is searched 10,000 times per day..? ;)

Very tough, but like everything, not impossible if you are willing to put in many hours of work.

Definitely not easy at all. But as long as you keep building links and work hard to promote the site, that can be acheived one day. :)

Hey.. There should be two properties in your keywords :

    1) Your keyword should have more search volume.
    2) It should be less in competitions.

These are some basic concept should be in our mind during keyword search.

For sure you really need hard work for that keywords. Build lots of quality links and well optimized the page for its targeted keywords.

Getting linked on the first page may take you up to 6 months but you could do it in 3 with the right resources the first thing i would do is register your domain for 10 years it will cost you about a hundred and thirty bucks this helps because Google's algorithm rates sites better if there going to be around longer the second thing i would do is try to get links going back to your site from other sites (make sure the sites you get links from have high page ranks you could have a million sites with 0 and 1 pr's and it will not help you one bit) if a site with a pr7 links to you then Google will index you every 24 hours if it has a 6 then 72 hours and so on and so forth. you will have to be patient because some of these sites take up to 6 weeks to add your link. One more tip on this is to submit your site map to Google so they add all your pages. And as far as the checking of key words there are sites that will help you go to Google and type in keyword checker or keyword popularity and surf through the mess. Hope i helped....Phil

    quite hard actually:D

on the other hand u can choose keywords like

    animated Wallpapers
    or

    blue flower Wallpapers etc etc

reaching on top for these keywords will be much easier in contrast to the main keyword

I find that very hard to believe.

"3 weeks for wallpapers in google.com"

You need to supply a URL.

I could check the whois of the top 10 domains but my results are most likely different to what you get as I am in a different geographic location.

It is very possible, in fact. Although, I'll see this 'wallpapers' guy in the shallows of the sandbox one day very soon.

New domains always rank very highly for their domain keyword, then disappear..down and down....down...down....down...down...and down...down...and now you get the point ;)

The domain is NOT a new domain, its not very old though under 1 year. :)

It's easy, to easy, I am moving up and down, I can't release my URL here, anyone who is REALLY interested PM me and I will send you a URL.

    lol.

It's easy to rank high, when you go from one amount of links to quad that in 3 weeks though ;).

It takes more effort. You may try building backlinks from high PR sites with this keyword as anchor text.

It would take months of work.

I target long tail heading and it includes multiple keywords. I get a fair bit of traffic from that.

Thats easier, i advise to do that.
