Having trouble uploading my site?

I can't figure out why my site is not in the right folder and not coming up when I type the it in?

Someone provide much needed aid please!

All the files in the " Loans Quote " folder need to be moved to the / folder ( so it will then appear on the index page )

So move all files to the main, ' /public_html ' directory.

EDIT: So in my FTP I have to put the files in cgi-bin?

 

no prob. but before you do make sure you backup the files just incase something wrong happens.

No. put them in the main directory, /public_html

When you first go into your ftp it will be /

then go into /public_html and put alll pages there. not in any other folder

 

That is where I initially put them, do I delete cig-bin and put the files there?

 

The files were in a loans folder, you just put all the pages in: /public_html , then you should have a page named index.htm that is your front page.

so just rename your homepage to be index.htm once all ur files are into /public_html ( DONT put it any other folder once in the /public_html )

I talked with him on aim and helped him with the problem on there, the ftp directory was a bit different that is why it was a bit confusing.
