Britney fell out of the spotlight when she stopped performing for a while. She could easily stop doing stupid stuff for quite sometime, not do any performances, and the interest in her would slowly die.
I think the trailer trash gene runs strong in the Spears bloodline. Now that I think about it Lindsey Lohan has it too. Maybe its something about being a Disney kid that messes you up.
