How you doing. I have an Adsense Search box on my forum which generates some money from time to time due to clicks...Im not really sure if this means i am getting paid for people clicking on the sponsored links at the top or the links which link to my blog posts....Either way, i was wondering if its against TOS for me to use this search myself....I from time to time wanna search for something real quick on my blog and that is obviously the fastest way, i however dont want to violate any terms...

So i can use the adsense search box myself, on my own site, without violating the TOS, IF I DO NOT CLICK THE SPONSORED RESULTS, and ONLY click my own links?

    site is Sneaker Obsession

    IMO, NO.

The results returned from the search box are not 100% the same as a regular G search. You get paid on a click through basis. A search gets you nothing and a click pays.

As for tracking, search clicks show clearly in your G control panel as a seperate listing. In the format searchs =x and clicks =y

I wasnt sure if those clicks were coming from sponsored results or the results only on my blog...Thats why i was a lil confused cause i figured if i just clicked my own links then i wouldnt actually be cheating the sysytem since im not clicking sponsored listings....However, i guess it doesnt work that way

G states that they don't want you to click on the ads on your own site. I also search on my own site.

    Im not talking about Ads...

Im talking about the search results i get from searching in the Adsense Search i have on my site...They are nothing but links back to my posts, with sponsored results at the top...Just wondering if i can click my own links (not sponsored ads) which link directly to the posts on my site...

My thought would be that yes, you can use the search box with no problems. As long as you aren't clicking on the sponsored ads, you're not costing Google any money - therefore you're not creating any fraud.

I don't know if there's anything in the TOS to prevent you from doing this, but I don't see a reason why there would be. I've used the search on occasion without incident.

I don't think ther eis anything in the terms preventing using the search box. You can't click sponsored results.

The issue with using the search box, is its is possible you could be searching for something and not really paying attention and click sponsored results by mistake, although it may be an error google will not accept it as an error.

Its a small risk but its a risk all the same. So personally I wouldn't use the search box on my site, just in case I click a result by mistake.
