i hate that, amazon sucks when it comes to this. I flat out refuse to post my books on there for a penny, but more popular books (million dollar sellers and other top sellers) are now a penny. Try half.com their least priced books are .75
Remember that shipping charges are also added to this, so your total sale may be a few dollars, plus each item you sell moves you up higher in the sales commissions bracket. Happy Selling!, PuReWebDev
I used to sell loads of books on amazon, loads of them at 1p, I still made a good profit. Because of the minimum postage amount amazon charge. If you buy a second hand book for 10p, sell it for 1p add £2 postage, but it only costs you 60p to post the book, you make £1.31 in pocket profit on each book sale. That's not a bad profit margin for any business.
I agree with you on getting a higher commission as the result of numbers but I don't see Amazon pay me any commission for postage.
it all depends on the weight of the book. Some books are really heavy, yet are not going to be sold for more than one cent...count the cost.
