Warehouse Monkey - Problem Host

Hi,

Has anyone ever dealt with Warehouse Monkey? They sell primarily on Ebay in the UK.

I purchased an unmetered reseller account from them for £29.99 (for life) in May 2007, I then upgraded to a 'dedicated server' at the cost of £179 (for life) in September. Since September I'd had nothing but problems with the server - Time was always wrong, cPanel/WHM refused to load 90% of the time despite me having 0 clients on the server, cPanel updates failed most of the time, EasyApache couldn't be run due to memory contraints. Equally they said in their upgrade email I'd be getting a dedicated server with 8GB RAM, when it was actually a VPS with 256mb RAM.

After all of the above problems I had been contacting support daily only to be told excuses after excuses and that 'something is being done about it now/tonight/in an hour' when nothing was happening at all. I lost a lot of business over this, and turned down a lot of new customers.

I'm currently trying to get a full refund out of them, but they're completely ignoring all of the emails I send to them.

So, has anyone else dealt with them - Care to share experiences?

P.S. I moved to a VPS provided by A2B2 Hosting (a2b2.com) and everything is working great for me and all my clients.

 

I also purchased an unmetered reseller account from them for £29.99 at the begining of Dec the servers went down on Dec 25th when I emailled to find out what was wrong I was told that one of the partners had died, this message is also now showing on thier web site. I have emailled several times asking for an update but no answer, I have clients screaming at me because the websites are down and they are not getting any email but what can I do. I have started a dispute through Ebay and have been sent a mobile number, which is switched off and they are based in Aylesbury. I dont know what more I can do, several people have now posted feedback on the Ebay account complaining of this, so maybe Ebay will get involved but they will probably just suspend the account.

Yes that would apparently be the case. At least you've got as far as getting a phone number, I couldn't get anything out of them. As soon as you start to complain they ignore you, completely. The best thing you can do is try and get a backup and get onto a new server.

1.) You cannot get a server for a one-time payment. Even if hardware is possible to be purchased by paying a one-time fee, bandwidth is a monthly recurring cost.
2.) You should check out similar offers from other webhosts , normally prices are pretty similar.

 

Hi guys, i live in aylesbury and i also brought an account from them can anyone give me any contact details they have for the company, addresses, phone numbers, anything at all.
I think i MAY have a lead and MAY have tracked them down as aylesbury, stoke mandeville aston clinton, wendover etc are all really the same place and its really not very big And everyone knows everyone either diect or through someone else, BUT i need to be 100% sure before doing anything about it so please tell me and send me anything anyone has, even if the phone numbers dont work, please give me everything.

I all honesty I think that's it now, we won't hear from them again til they setup another company and pull the same stunt again...

 

First, i wouldn't reply on getting webhosting from eBay, although i'm sure there are reputable providers on there. Before purchasing any plan just go to google. Type in the domain name and see what reviews they have. Also, be watchful of the google results. Let the results speak for themselves!

 

Up until I went public their Google results where all very positive, as was their website and their 1000+ ebay feedback...

 

Anyone who's had trouble with them needs to submit a Paypal Dispute or an Unauthorised Transaction report - This will put Warehouse Monkey's account into review and speed up the refund process for us all

 

They only have 171 google results, that's nothing..

Once you find out their details I suggest you go to here. I hate those bastards, really do. And I've never even heard of them. Buying 'lifetime' means nothing whatsoever. The 'company' (ie. 12 year old kid in his bedroom) could fold tomorrow, you got the company's lifetime worth of hosting. Thus, no complaints can be made. Define an exact period - 1 year from February 12th 2008 until February 12th 2009. Never 'lifetime'.

I hope you catch these theifs one way or another.

Tried that - They don't have a clue how to deal with online fraud and the complete lack of contact details for Warehouse Monkey means they just aren't interested - Nor are Paypal, after spending a long time on the phone with their useless indian representatives who have the tact & decorum of a peanut I'm sick to the teeth of trying to get my money back. I am letting it go, had enough.
