Has anyone tried buying a .co.uk from namecheap?

When I try it takes my money but the domain doesn't appear in my account and then about 5-10 mins later I get an email saying it not been successful and I have been refunded.

    No idea whats going on.

    Thanks

This happens every so often. Make sure you contact the sales department and let them know what happened. One time I was registering a dot com and a dot net and only the dot net registered. I freaked out for about 5 minutes. lol

It has been doing it all day for me, I have emailed the support team but no reponse. Guess I'll have to wait it out.

Off topic but I read this on the namecheap forum:

"Whois protections are not allowed on .uk domains. If you are a business you must show all your whois. If you are a private individual you can hide everything except your name."

    Is this true?

Yeah they take several hours to respond.

hmm I have never heard about that, then again I never deal with .uk domains.

How long did you have to wait until you could reg the domain?

Did you just have to add it into your cart again and purchase it as normal etc?

I've been trying for a good few hours and everytime it does the same.

I've even tried registering a different .co.uk domain and the same happened

Maybe someone is telling me to quit this business lol

Just an update, what namecheap failed to tell me is that the information in my account wasn't enough. I changed a few things and now it appears to be working :)
